The second capital of the kingdomThe small town of Lopburi is situated 153 km to the north of Bangkok.It’s an attractive place for tourists who are fond of hiking. The architecture of Lopburi has an influence of the Khmers culture. They ruled over the most territory of Thailand long time ago. And many monuments in Khmer style can still be seen nowadays.

King Narai of Ayutthaya made the town of Lopburi the second capital in the kingdom in 1664 and spent there much of his life. During his reign the architectural style of the town combine the Thai and Western traits because many building were built by French architects as well. This can be noticed in such structure as the Royal Palace and the Royal Reception House.

Lopburi is said to be the better place to enjoy Siamese architecture than Ayutthaya itself. The nightlife in Lopburi isn’t varied but the Come On Bar will diversify your entertaining program.
